Product Description
The legendary tale of St George and the Dragon returns for 2026 in exceptional style with this striking 1oz gold bullion coin from The Royal Mint. This coin is the third release in the acclaimed St George and the Dragon series, showcasing a bold new interpretation by acclaimed designer Sandra Deiana, who brings the timeless battle between good and evil to life with remarkable detail and artistry. The design also incorporates an inscription inspired by the historic George noble, alongside advanced micro text security features that enhance both authenticity and visual appeal.
The 2026 1oz St George and the Dragon MS67 Gold Coin depicts Saint George, the Patron Saint of England, locked in a fierce battle with the dragon in a dramatic fight to the death. Rooted in one of Britain’s most enduring legends, the story tells of a dragon terrorising a village and demanding tributes from its people. When valuables and livestock were no longer enough, the villagers were forced to offer a human sacrifice each year. The legend reached its climax when a princess was chosen as the next offering, inspiring Saint George to confront and slay the dragon, rescuing the princess and freeing the village from fear.
Blending powerful storytelling with exceptional minting craftsmanship, the 2026 release continues The Royal Mint’s prestigious bullion collection. Struck in 1oz of fine gold and graded MS67, this coin offers investors and collectors a unique combination of British heritage, modern security technology, and investment grade quality.
This coin is graded and certified by the NGC, slabbed in a protective case to authenticate and preserve the coin's condition.
